Barcode Ribbon Tape Oil Resistance Test

A client in Nigeria who works in an environment where he's exposed to things like motor oil wanted us to test the ribbon for better adhesion.  We used wax ribbon、 wax resin ribbon、resin ribbon to carry out the test, the following figure is the effect of our test.

The advantages of resin ribbons include:

Has a relatively long service life, high adhesion, and excellent stain and scratch resistance.

Suitable for harsh environments and extreme conditions, labels remain legible despite friction, solvents, high temperatures, cold, grease, and UV rays

Our UC168 is printed on wax ribbon and can be wiped off with oil on coated paper.  The UC268 wax resin ribbon can also be wiped off

The advantages of wax ribbons include:

Low printing cost, suitable for regular mass production application scenarios

Suitable for ordinary coated paper

Excellent in applications such as clothing tag labels, shipping labels, etc.

Advantages of wax resin ribbons include:

Durability and longevity between wax and resin ribbons

Wear-resistant, moisture-resistant, UV-resistant, good durability

It has excellent blackness on printing media such as kraft paper, coated paper, and synthetic materials.

Excellent coverage, suitable for printing small characters, barcodes, and logos

We used our UC368 resin ribbon for testing: After we dripped oil on the printed content on matte silver paper, coated paper, synthetic paper and transparent PET, whether it could not be wiped off or the original printing effect was still good.
